Opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher

The Millhauser Lab has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher. The Lab is looking for an individual who has interest in neurodegenerative diseases and is no more than 2-3 years past the date of completing their PhD. The preferred applicant will have a background in cell biology, while also a willingness to learn biophysical methods.

The initial appointment will be for one year with potential for reappointment for another two years.

Basic Qualifications

· PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field

· Experience with cell culture and basic biophysical measurements

· Experience in recombinant protein expression and purification by FPLC techniques, including expertise with E. coli expression systems and use of autoclaves, incubator/shakers, hoods, and other common equipment
